The AIC grants two professional designations—the Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI™) and the Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA™).
Each designation is a guarantee of quality, knowledge, and professionalism. Furthermore, AIC designations are recognized as experts within judicial and quasi-judicial settings.
PARTNERS
Andrew has been working with S. Rayner & Associates since 2005. Andrew is involved primarily with Industrial Commercial Investment (ICI) properties and has his AACI designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
Extension 101
Derrick has been working in the real estate appraisal field since 1993 and has been working with S. Rayner & Associates since 1998. He is acting General Manager and oversees the ongoing operations of the company in addition to the mentoring and co-signing for the residential division.
Derrick works primarily in the residential field, specializing in divorce, estate, executive class, unique island properties and student rental dwellings.
He has completed appraisals for most major financial institutions, law firms, accounting firms, and individual clients.

Cody has been working with S. Rayner and Associates since 2011. Cody is a graduate of Queen’s University and has completed residential appraisal reports for all major lending institutions together with reports completed for private clients.

Founder and former owner of S. Rayner & Associates, Stephen has maintained his AACI designation for over 30 years and has extensive experience in appraising all types of properties and providing consulting services. He has extensive expert witness experience before various courts, boards, and tribunals. Stephen is currently an active mentor and co-signer for the commercial division.

Frederic is a Designated Member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and had been completing residential appraisals in the Kingston, Belleville, and Brockville area since 2018 before joining S. Rayner and Associates in 2020. Frederic is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Entrepreneurship. Frederic focuses on Industrial Commercial Investment (ICI) properties.

Liz is a Candidate Member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada has been working with S. Rayner and Associates since 2020. Liz comes to S. Rayner & Associates Ltd. with a background in accounting and a former member in good standing with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Liz spent many years managing a Corporate Accounting team for a private sector company in Kingston. Liz is currently working towards her AACI designation with the University of British Columbia.

Julie has been working with S. Rayner & Associates since 1989. Julie achieved her CRA designation in 2010 and is a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Julie’s work area is primarily in the Industrial Commercial Investment (ICI) properties.
RESIDENTIAL APPRAISERS
Tania is a Candidate Member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada has been working with S. Rayner & Associates since January 2018. Tania is a graduate of Simon Fraser University and is currently working towards her CRA designation with the University of British Columbia.
Tania is currently serving as secretary for the Appraisal Institute of Canada, Kingston Chapter.
Tania formerly served as an executive member of the Certified Executor Advisor Network (CEAN) Kingston.

Jamie is a Designated Member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and has been working with S. Rayner and Associates since 2019. Jamie is a graduate of Trent University and the Real Property Administration Program at Seneca College. Jamie has a background in property management.

Nick is a candidate Member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and has been with S. Rayner and Associates since 2020. Nick is born and raised in Kingston and has spent time living and working in Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Asia, Africa, and British Columbia. Nick holds degrees from the University of Western Ontario and Laurier University and has a background in Environmental Site Assessment. He is currently working towards his CRA designation with the University of British Columbia.

Mitchell is a Candidate Member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and joined S. Rayner and Associates in 2021. Mitchell is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Honor’s Economics Program and graduated first in class with distinction from ESC Rennes Masters International business. Mitchell is currently working towards his CRA designation with the University of British Columbia.

Nathan is a graduate of Trent University and has a knowledgeable family background within the real estate industry.
